Dublin Historic Park
Kolb Ranch Relocation

Dublin, California

The City of Dublin acquired a deteriorating suburban retail strip-mall at the city's historic crossroads. The demolition of the strip-mall was planned to create a new park for the site to complement neighboring historic buildings. After landscape design was under way, the owner of the nearby Kolb Ranch offered to donate five historic buildings for relocation to the park. These ranch buildings, originally constructed in the early twentieth-century, were slated for demolition to clear land for a new commercial office development. Our firm is the architect for the relocation and rehabilitation of the ranch structures within the overall site design by the landscape architecture firm of Royston Hanamoto Alley and Abey. Dublin Historic Park is nearing completion as of April 2011.
